LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Four Mountain Lion runners finished in the top-100 as the Concord University men's cross country team finished 16th at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships on the West Branch Cross Country Course in Lock Haven, Pa. Saturday afternoon.

The Mountain Lions were led by junior Jordan Weitzel for the second consecutive meet. Weitzel, who was fresh off his first team All-MEC performance, finished 68th with a time of 33:19 on the 10K course. This was the first time Weitzel ran a collegiate 10K race.

Also making their collegiate debut in the 10K distance were the freshman duo of Brandon Lee and Cimarron Nicely. They finished 86th and 87th, respectively, crossing the finish line at 34:04 and 34:08.

Sophomore Jake Munsey led a trio of second-year runners for the Mountain Lions, clocking a time of 34:38 which was good enough for 98th place. Cody Honaker finished 109th at 35:18 and Jacob Doss came in 118th with a time of 36:10.

Munsey navigated the course approximately 45 seconds faster than he did last year; he ran 35:24 on the regional course a season ago.

Freshman Tony Tredway rounded out the lineup for the Mountain Lions by finishing 125th with a time of 36:56.

The Mountain Lions return all seven runners from the regional team. In total, they will welcome back nine runners from a team that finished third at the MEC Championship in October.

CU will now focus on the indoor track season that begins Dec. 7 at the Marietta First Glance at Marietta College in Ohio.
