MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
• CU has played one game thus far in 2013-14, a 79-65 loss to Lincoln Memorial. Concord was led in the loss by the junior duo of forward Andrea Bertrand and guard Sissy Wagner. Both players scored 15 points with Wagner recording five assists and Bertrand grabbing five rebounds.

• Senior center Sammi Webster started her final season strong against Lincoln Memorial, scoring 13 points and pulling down eight rebounds. She fell one point and one rebound shy of matching career-highs in both categories.

• As a team, the Mountain Lions grabbed 20 offensive rebounds against LMU collectively with Webster and junior forwards Jacqueline Kestner and Rachel Artrip each corralling four. It was the most offensive rebounds that CU has recorded since they had 21 against West Virginia State at home last season.

• In addition to its hard work on the glass, Concord forced Lincoln Memorial into 28 turnovers thanks in part to 10 steals.

• Wagner, who led all of Division II women's basketball in assist-to-turnover ratio last season at 2.81, appears poised to be among the nation's best again this season after committing just one turnover to go with her five assists against Lincoln Memorial.

• The Mountain Lions dominated the paint against LMU, outscoring the Railsplitters 34-22 in the lane.

• The Mountain Lions were 0-4 combined last season against Bluefield State and D&E, but in his 13-year career at Concord, head coach Kenny Osborne has a winning record against both. He is 13-3 against the Lady Blues while owning a 9-4 career mark against the Senators.

• In those four matchups last season, the Concord defense averaged 9.25 steals per game.

• After Thursday's game at Davis & Elkins, Concord returns home to open Mountain East Conference play against Notre Dame (2:00 p.m., Nov.23) and Urbana (1:00 p.m., Nov. 25).

• Bluefield State enters Monday's game at 0-3 on the year. The Lady Blues have started the season with losses to Fairmont State (86-59), Indiana (Pa.) (56-45) and Bluefield College (80-76).

• Davis & Elkins is off to a 1-3 start to the year after defeating Pitt-Johnstown (91-80) while losing to Walsh (81-77), Lake Erie (98-85) and Southern Indiana (96-68).
