GLENVILLE, W. Va. – Senior middle hitter
Jasmin Sutherland had 11 kills and junior
Brytni Willis added 10 kills as well to lead the Concord University volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-20, 25-22,25-14) win at Glenville State College Friday night.
The victory improves Concord's record to 15-15 overall and 7-8 in Mountain East Conference contests. With the win, CU is assured of finishing no worse than sixth in league standings. By finishing in the top eight of the MEC standings, Concord has earned the right to host an opening round match of the conference tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
For the match, the Mountain Lions posted a .305 attack percentage, its highest in an MEC match this season.
In addition to her match-high 11 kills, Sutherland also totaled a match-best four blocks (three solo / one assisted). Willis finished just shy of a double-double with nine digs to go with her 10 kills. Both players recorded strong attack percentages of .471 and .350, respectively.

Lindsey Smith led all Concord players with 10 digs for her 15th match of the year with at least 10 digs.
The Mountain Lions will look to end its regular season on a high note with a victory at West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday. CU defeated the Bobcats 3-1 at home earlier in the season. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
