ATHENS, W. Va. – The Concord University volleyball team will conclude its regular season this weekend with a pair of Mountain East Conference road matches Friday at Glenville State and Saturday against West Virginia Wesleyan.

RECORDS and STANDINGS
The Mountain Lions enter the weekend sixth in the MEC standings at 14-15 overall and 6-8 in league play. At 9-21 and 3-11 in the MEC, Glenville State sits 10th in the conference standings while West Virginia Wesleyan is fourth at 12-16 overall and 10-4 in the MEC.
LAST TIME OUT
The Mountain Lions lost in four sets against Charleston in its regular season home finale (25-18, 26-24, 20-25, 25-23).
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord is assured to host an opening round match in next week's MEC Tournament. The top four teams in the league standings at the end of the year receive byes in the first round with teams seeded five through eight hosting seeds nine through 12.

Kate Southcott is one victory away from securing her third consecutive season with at least 15 wins. The last time Concord won at least 15 matches in three consecutive seasons was from 1990-92.
The Mountain Lions defeated both Glenville State and West Virginia Wesleyan at home earlier in the year 3-0 and 3-1, respectively. The victory over West Virginia Wesleyan was the first for Concord under Southcott. Junior middle hitter
Sarah Jones led the Mountain Lions to both wins with respective kill totals of nine and 15.
As a team, Concord ranks second in the MEC in aces (182), second in opponent hitting percentage (.149), fourth in hitting percentage (.187) and fourth in blocks (206) in the Mountain East.
For the season Jones leads Concord, and ranks eighth in the MEC, with 270 kills to go with 80 blocks (12 solo / 68 assisted). Jones' block total is good enough for fifth in the conference.

Brytni Willis each have already recorded over 200 kills this season. The trio is the first group of CU players to accomplish the feat since 2005.

Nikki McMillan in aces (fifth / 41), junior setter
Amanda Walker in aces (fifth / 41), and freshman middle hitter
Lauren Richardson in blocks (sixth / 78).
Four different Mountain Lions have served at least 20 aces this season in McMillan, Walker, junior libero
Lindsey Smith and
Brytni Willis.
Smith has been a defensive standout for the Mountain Lions from her libero position. She has registered 309 digs, which is good enough for the team lead.
In addition her impressive serving prowess, McMillan also leads Concord in assists at 375 (4.2 per set).
