CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team lost to the University of Charleston, 4-0, Wednesday night at Schoenbaum Stadium in Charleston, W. Va.
The Mountain Lions end their 2013 season with an overall record of 3-12-2 and a 1-10-1 mark in Mountain East Conference games. Charleston improves to 10-5-1 overall and 8-3-1 in league games.
The Golden Eagles scored goals in the 17th and 38th minutes of the game to take 2-0 lead into halftime before adding insurance scores at 58:57 and 85:55 in the second half en route to the shutout-win.
Concord was led by senior midfielder
Sebastian Escobar, who tallied a team-best two shots in his last collegiate game. Sophomore forward

Cameron Russell and sophomore midfielder
Kris Robins added one shot apiece.
Freshman goalie
Trevor Hoxworth made his third start of the season, stopping four shots in 90 minutes.
For the game, Charleston held advantages over Concord in both shots (19-5) and corner kicks (6-1).
Forde concludes the year as Concord's leader in both points (17) and goals (8). Sophomore defender
Alex Williams is Concord's assist leader at three.
The Mountain Lions will return all but two players from this season's roster in 2014, losing only senior midfielders Escobar and
Tyler Farrar to graduation.
