ATHENS, W. Va. – The Concord University volleyball team lost to nationally-ranked Wheeling Jesuit University, 3-0, Tuesday night at the Carter Center in Mountain East Conference play.
The Mountain Lions played the Cardinals, which are currently ranked 22nd in the nation by the AVCA, even over the opening half of the first and second sets, but eventually dropped both sets 25-14. Wheeling Jesuit bolted out to a 12-4 lead in the third set en route to the 25-10 match-clinching victory.

Jasmin Sutherland were the only other Mountain Lions with multiple kills with two each.
Sutherland also came away with a team-best three blocks (one solo / two assisted).

The loss drops the Mountain Lions' record to 13-13 overall and 5-6 in the MEC. Wheeling Jesuit improves to 24-3 overall and 11-0 in conference play.
Concord will look to snap its three-match losing streak Nov. 5 at UVa.-Wise. First serve between the Cavaliers and Mountain Lions is set for 7:00 p.m.
