ATHENS, W. Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team scored a late goal, but couldn't quite find the equalizer as Urbana University hung on to beat the Mountain Lions, 2-1, Tuesday afternoon in Mountain East Conference competition.
The loss drops Concord's record to 3-10-2 overall and 1-8-1 in conference play. Urbana improves to 6-3-4 overall and 5-2-3 in the MEC.

Cameron Russell to cut Concord's deficit to one goal with just under 14 minutes remaining in regulation.
CU continued to take the attack to Urbana for the remainder of the game with Forde even registering a shot on goal at 85:45, but the Blue Knights thwarted Concord's late comeback bid en route to the 2-1 win.
Urbana scored its goals off shots by Michael McFarlane and Joe Carter in the 31st and 65th minutes, respectively.
Morgan's goal was his first of the season as was Forde's assist. On the year, Forde now has a team-high 17 points off eight goals and his aforementioned assist. Russell's assist was his second in 2013.

Mitchell Thompson played all 90 minutes, making seven saves including several diving stops.

As a team, Urbana held advantages over Concord in both shots (16-11) and corner kicks (11-4).
The Mountain Lions play their final home game of the year 2:00 p.m. Saturday against Notre Dame College. The match will mark the final home games in the careers of Escobar and Farrar.
