URBANA, Ohio, - The Concord University volleyball team continued its impressive late-season run by defeating Urbana University, 3-1, Saturday at the Grimes Center Gym in Urbana, Ohio to cap off a perfect weekend of Mountain East Conference competition.
After dropping the opening set to the Blue Knights, 26-24, the Mountain Lions regrouped and proceeded to take the following three sets 25-21, 25-23, 25-21. The win improves Concord's overall record to 13-10 while pushing its MEC mark to two games above .500 at 5-3. Urbana falls to 7-12 overall and 3-5 in league matches with the loss.
Concord was led to the victory by the trio of junior outside hitter
Brytni Willis, junior middle hitter
Sarah Jones and senior middle hitter
Jasmin Sutherland.
Willis and Jones each recorded double-doubles. Willis recorded a match-high 14 kills, 14 digs and two aces while Jones totaled 13 kills, 16 digs and six blocks (one solo / five assisted). Sutherland added 11 kills and four blocks (four assisted).
Junior setter
Nikki McMillan came away with a double-double as well off of 21 assists and a career-high 16 digs to go with a match-best three aces.

As a team, Concord held advantages over Urbana in kills (53-37), hitting percentage (.195-.165), blocks (10.5-5.0) and aces (8-3).
Concord will look to take its winning streak to seven matches with a victory 7:00 p.m. Friday at the University of Charleston.
