Earlier in the season, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw at Anderson field in Athens. However, it was two second half goals from the Bobcats that pushed them to the victory.

Jade Smith scored in the 49th minute for West Virginia Wesleyan and Lexi Battochi capped off the scoring in the 87th minutes for the Bobcats.

CU had three shots on goal.

Freshmen Margot Provencher and Emily Cole each had one shot on goal, while junior Sami Spertzel also tallied a strike at WVWC goalie Lauren Duncan.

All three shots on goal from CU came between the 16th and 20th minutes in the game, but Duncan was able to preserve the scoreless tie.

Concord goalkeeper Kristin Twomey turned away four shots.

With the loss, CU falls to 4-7-1 on the year and 2-6-1 in MEC competition.

The Mountain Lions will be at home Wednesday afternoon for a MEC showdown with West Liberty. The contest will be the "Pinkstrong" initiative game. Kickoff will be at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson Field.
