ATHENS, W. Va. - The Concord University women's basketball team will look to continue its recent dominance over Wheeling Jesuit University when the Mountain Lions travel to Wheeling, W. Va. Thursday. CU has won five straight games, and seven of the last eight games, vs. the Cardinals.

Records
• Concord enters Thursday's game 5-13 overall and 4-8 in the WVIAC.

• Wheeling Jesuit has lost its last three games, falling to 5-13 overall and 2-12 in the conference in the process.

Series
Since the 1994 season, Wheeling Jesuit leads the series vs. Concord, 13-7. However, the Mountain Lions have controlled the match-up recently, winning five consecutive games over WJU and seven of their last eight.

• Concord has not lost to WJU since the 2009-10 season.

Scouting Concord
• Concord leads the WVIAC in turnovers per game (14.2).

• Concord's 85-70 win at Seton Hill on Jan. 26 was head coach Kenny Osborne's 200th career-win.

• Sophomore guard Stephanie Wagner is among the best players in Division II in assist/turnover ratio (fifth / 2.47) and assists per game (15th / 5.3).

• In addition to being a personal-best, Wagner's 10 assists at Seton Hill marked the first time a Concord player had at least 10 assists in a game since current assistant coach Jamie Cluesman accomplished the feat with 11 assists Feb. 11, 2008 (Davis & Elkins).

• The WVIAC's 13th leading scorer, junior guard Amanda Smith has scored 18.5 points per game in the last four games.

• Smith is 27-for-31 from the foul line in the last five games. On the year, Smith is 55-for-72.

• Sophomore forward Rachel Artrip has been a scoring force off the bench in the last four games. Since scoring 22 points at D&E, Artrip has tallied 15 vs. West Liberty, 19 at Seton Hill and 11 vs. Glenville State. She is shooting 48.9 percent (22-for-45) over the four-game stretch.

• Junior Sammi Webster's five rebounds against Glenville State were the most for the center since she grabbed six at eight at WV Wesleyan (Dec. 12).

• Sophomore forward Jacqueline Kestner has two double-doubles in three games.

Scouting Wheeling Jesuit
A key for a Concord victory will be to not put Wheeling Jesuit on the foul line. The Cardinals rank second in the WVIAC in foul shooting at 72.4 percent (260-for-359).

Jamie Sobczak and Breanna Butler lead Wheeling Jesuit in scoring at 13.6 ppg and 12.5 ppg, respectively. Sobczak's 6.2 rebounds per game is also a team-best.

The Coaches
Concord head coach Kenny Osborne is 200-186 overall in 14 seasons as a Division II women's basketball coach and is 188-171 in his time at Concord.

Debbie Buff is 110-43 in 10 years as a head coach. Now in her second season at Wheeling Jesuit, Hill is 10-35 with the Cardinals.
