Box Score
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Concord University men's soccer team scored a season-high in goals Saturday to earn its first conference victory and snap its four-match losing streak with a 3-2 win at Pitt-Johnstown.

Richard Vincent scored a goal and had an assist to continue his great play of late. Vincent has scored three goals over the last four games. The senior leads the team on the season in both goals scored, 4, and points, 9. His three-point day vaulted Vincent into seventh place in the Concord record books for points scored in a career.

Isaac Jordan also had a big day for Concord (2-5-1, 1-3-0 WVIAC). The freshman matched Vincent with a goal and assist of his own. Jordan fired off a team-high five shots. Adam Johnson, who took four shots, rounded out CU goal scorers with the first score of his career.

Goalie Mitchell Thompson stopped six Pitt-Johnstown shots to pick up the victory, the first of his career.

Vincent wasted little time getting Concord the lead when he scored off of Jordan's pass just 15:42 into the game to put CU up 1-0.

The Mountain Lions took its one-goal advantage into halftime, but Pitt-Johnstown came back to tie the match with a score in the 49th minute of action.

However, Concord quickly recovered by scoring twice within 10 minutes of each other to take a commanding 3-1 lead. Jordan struck first when he beat Pitt-Johnstown's goalie off of a feed from Vincent at 53:46. Johnson followed up with his goal at 62:34. Troy Silva assisted on Johnson's score.

Pitt-J added a goal at 85:21, but Thompson would stop two shots in the final five minutes to secure the victory for Concord.

Concord will look to win back-to-back games for the first time this season when it returns home to host Charleston Sept. 25 at 4:00 p.m.
