NEW CONCORD, Ohio – A day after surrendering eight goals, the Concord University men's soccer team regrouped to shutout Muskingum University for a 0-0 tie.

Concord's record improves to 0-1-1 on the season. Muskingum exits the weekend with a mark of 1-0-1. As a team, Concord held advantages in total shots (31-11), shots on goal (10-2) and corners (9-7).

Matt Hamilton got the start in goal for the Mountain Lions, picking up the shutout with a two-save afternoon.

Senior Richard Vincent recorded a game-high three shots on goal while Tyler Farrar, Tyler Harris and Sebastian Escobar all added two shots on goal each.

CU outshot the Fighting Muskies 13-3 in the first period and 14-4 in the second period, but were unable to get a shot past Muskingum goalie Hunter Huffman, who led Muskingum with 10 saves.

Concord will be back in action looking for its first win of the season when it travels to take on Bluefield College, Sept. 6 at 7:00 p.m.
