CU IN 19th; BEGLEY POSTS MOUNTAIN LIONS' TOP SCORE

Concord's men's golf team stands in 19th place after the first round of the NCAA Division II National Championships in Simpsonville, KY.


Nathaniel Begley (left) posted the Mountain Lions' top score, firing a 74 on the par-72, 7036-yard Cardinal Club Course.  Begley is tied for 47th in the individual standings.


Matt Morgan shot a 77 to tie for 82nd place; Evan Muscari tied for 92nd after a 79. 


Sebastian Starud shot an 84 and Taylor Reilly an 86.
The second round of the national tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16.
