West Liberty scored a single run in the 3rd, and closed out the game on the run rule after Equitia Sayles and Irene Fadul delivered RBI singles in the 5th.

The Mountain Lions took their first lead of the day with a two-run rally in the top of the 3rd.  Becca Gleason, Ericka Davies and Karsyn Boothe each singled to start the inning.  Stephanie Harper drove in Gleason with a fielder's choice, and after Laura Kaminski walked, Lacey McDougall singled up the middle to score Boothe.

West Liberty (14-37, 9-15) tied the game in the bottom of the inning on RBI singles from Hulslander and Jennifer Young.

A clutch hit put CU ahead for good in the top of the 5th.  With the bases loaded and two outs, Mandy Workman cleared the bases with a triple to center that gave the Mountain Lions a 5-2 lead.

Another big two-out hit extended the advantage in the 6th.  With runners at second and third, McDougall punched a single to right that drove in both teammates and gave Concord a 7-2 lead.

In the circle, McDougall (left) bent but didn't break.  She scattered ten hits – nine of them singles -- on the way to a complete-game victory.  The freshman helped her own cause by going 2-3 at the plate with three RBIs.

Gleason had three hits and Workman three RBIs for CU.

Up next for Concord (17-29, 6-16) is a visit to Wheeling Jesuit for a WVIAC doubleheader tomorrow – Saturday, April 21 – in Wheeling, WV.  First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
