The host Falcons took command with a five-run 2nd inning, fueled by five consecutive two-out hits, highlighted by Holly Frampton's two-run double.

Sarah Parson's two-run homer in the 3rd pushed the Falcons' lead to 7-0.  FSU closed out the game on the eight-run rule on back-to-back doubles by Rachel Harris and Terri Lynn Wolfe.

Fairmont State scratched out a run in the bottom of the 1st on Abbey Wilson's sacrifice fly.  The 1-0 score held until the 4th, when Wilson struck again with a two-run homer that was the centerpiece of a three-run rally.

The Falcons won again on the run rule after a four-run rally in the 5th, after a two-run single by Carly Mundie and a two-run double from Erica Aversa.

Up next for Concord (13-19, 2-6) is an eight-game homestand, starting with a WVIAC doubleheader against Davis & Elkins on Tuesday, April 3.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 pm at the CU softball complex in Athens.
