SOFTBALL: DH AT WVU TECH CANCELED

NO MAKE UP DATE SCHEDULED

Concord's softball doubleheader against WVU Tech – already postponed once – is now canceled.

The Lady Lions and Golden Bears were originally set to play their non-conference in Belle, WV on March 1. But it had to be rescheduled due to a security situation that resulted in the shutdown of the CU campus in Athens.

The games were rescheduled for Friday, March 9. But persistent rain left the diamond unplayable due to wet grounds, and the doubleheader had to be canceled outright. It will not be made up.

Concord and WVU Tech are still scheduled to play a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 21 at the CU softball complex in Athens. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 pm.

The Lady Lions return to play on Saturday, March 10, with a non-conference doubleheader at UVA-Wise. Start time is 12:00 pm.

After that, Concord travels to Myrtle Beach, SC to take part in the NSCI Spring Training event. The Lady Lions will play eight games in four days, starting with two on Monday, March 12. You can check CU's entire 2012 schedule HERE.
