MOUNTAIN LIONS PLAY TWO ROUNDS AT UNA SPRING CLASSIC

Concord's men's golf team put in busy day on Monday, playing two rounds on the first day of the annual North Alabama Spring Classic.

The Mountain Lions shot a 303 and a 313 to stand in 13th place out of 17 teams on the par-72, 7126-yard Robert Trent Jones at the Shoal Fighting Joe Course.

Reigning WVIAC medalist Sebastian Starud was Concord's top individual player, posting back-to-back 75s.  At 150, six over par, Starud is tied for 27th place.

Evan Muscari fired an even-par 72 in the first round but fell to 79 in the second.  He's tied for 31st at +7 151.

Nathaniel Begley shot 79 and 78 to tie for 59th place, while Matt Morgan went 77-81 to tie for 66th.  Taylor Reilly tied for 73rd after shooting a 79 and an 81.

The host team, North Alabama, leads the field.  The Tigers totaled a 3-under par 573 on Monday and hold a 14-stroke lead going into the final round on Tuesday.
