CU SPLITS FIRST FOUR IN SPRING BREAK TRIP

The Concord softball team stands at .500 halfway through its week-long appearance at the National Collegiate Sports Invitational Spring Training event in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

CU has won two and lost two over its first four games with four to go.

Concord split two games on Monday, defeating Arcadia University (PA) 6-3 before falling to Clarion University (PA) 1-0, on a solo home run.

CU played a pair of run-rule games that ended in five innings on Tuesday, downing Philadelphia Biblical University (PA) 12-1 before a 10-2 defeat in a rematch with Clarion.

Concord will play two games each on Wednesday, March 14 and Thursday, March 15 at the NCSI event before returning to Athens for a ten-game homestand. 

CU begins its home schedule with a non-conference doubleheader against Lees-McRae College (NC) on Tuesday, March 20.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 pm at the softball complex on the CU campus.
