ATHENS, W. Va. - Concord University volleyball was defeated by Seton Hill, 3-0 Friday night. This drops CU's record to 14-14 overall, 5-4 in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC). Seton Hill has boosted their record to 17-11 overall, 10-2 (WVIAC).
The Mountain Lions combined for six kills during set one against the Griffins. Seton Hill racked up 13 kills in the win over CU, 25-16.
Set two proved to be tough for both teams with eight tie scores and four lead changes. CU outhit Seton Hill with 14 kills compared to their 10 with a hitting percentage of .200. The Griffins ended the set with a hitting percentage of .167 for the victory, 25-22.

Brytni Willis put down two kills with authority and Seton Hill had two errors to put CU up 4-0. The Griffin's grabbed the lead at 8-7 with a kill from middle hitter Shelby Kyllo. Concord wasn't able to answer back and dropped the set and match, 25-16.

Sarah Jones was the team leader in kills with 10. Jones also had five digs and one ace. Middle hitter
Jasmin Sutherland contributed with six kills and two blocks. B. Willis ended the match with eight digs, five kills, and one block. Libero
Lindsey Smith dug a team-high 14 balls. Smith is currently ranked fourth in the WVIAC in digs with 119 and a 4.25 average digs per set.
Contributions for Concord also came from right side hitter
Kylie Perdue with three kills and one block. Right side hitter
Whytni Willis had four digs, three assists, two kills, and a block. Middle Hitter
Rebecca Lovejoy notched two kills and one block.
McMillan led Concord with 12 assists also grabbing five digs, one kill, and one ace. Setter
Amanda Walker had nine assists, three digs, one kill, and one ace.
Concord continues WVIAC play against Fairmont State University on Nov. 3 at the Carter Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
