VIENNA, W. Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to three games Wednesday with a 2-0 win at Ohio Valley in West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. The Mountain Lions are 3-1-1 in their last five games.
Concord improves to 5-10-2 overall and 2-7-0 the WVIAC with the win. Ohio Valley drops to 0-15 overall and 0-8 in the WVIAC with the loss. The victory was Concord's third shutout of the season.

Mitchell Thompson stopped Ohio Valley's only shot on goal en route to his fourth victory of the season.
CU held a 22-6 advantage in shots and a 7-1 edge in corners. Jordan took a game-high six shots, closely followed by Forde with five attempts of his own. Farrar and Bone both tallied three shots with senior

After a scoreless first half, Concord netted both of its goals within three minutes of each other. Bone stuck first at 63:01 followed by Forde's goal at 65:59. The two-goal edge was more than enough for Concord as the Mountain Lions were able to successfully keep Ohio Valley's offense in check for the final 24 minutes of the second half to secure the 2-0 win.
The Mountain Lions will look to close their season out with a victory 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Cedarville.
