Last year, the Concord Men's Soccer team's offense didn't find its footing until after the midpoint of the season, scoring two goals in their first ten matches.

This year, the Mountain Lions are showing signs of an improved attack.

Concord dropped its season opener, 3-1, at East Stroudsburg (PA) on Friday afternoon, but tallied an early goal and rounded into form in the 2nd half of the non-conference match in Eiler-Martin Stadium.

The host Warriors scored first, on Wesley Fossile's goal in the 11th minute.
But Concord countered, finding the net on its only shot of the 1st half. Lucas Lemine got the goal on a header, assisted by Colton Van Bibber, in the 16th minute.

The score remained level until Nick Fischer's goal put ESU up 2-1 in the 44th minute. Fischer would give the Warriors a valuable insurance goal in the 59th.

ESU outshot Concord 20-11 for the match, but the two sides were even at 10-10 in the 2nd half. Concord enjoyed a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.

The Mountain Lions have a quick turnaround before their next match. CU takes on Caldwell College (NJ) in a non-conference meeting tomorrow morning at 11:00 am, also at Eiler-Martin Stadium in East Stroudsburg, PA.
