Due to yet more rain in a spring full of bad weather, Concord's Softball and Baseball teams are facing a different weekend schedule.

The Softball team has lost both its WVIAC doubleheaders planned for this weekend.
The Lady Lions were to host Fairmont State Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm, and were set to visit Alderson-Broaddus for another twinbill at 2:00 pm Saturday.
But persistent rain in southern West Virginia has led to those games being canceled.
They will not be made up.

As a result, Concord's Senior Day is moved to Monday, April 25, when the Lady Lions close out the regular season with a conference doubleheader against the University of Charleston in Athens.
There will be a pre-game ceremony to honor CU's lone upperclassman, Kaylyn Klatt, before the 3:00 pm first pitch.

Meanwhile, Concord Baseball's WVIAC Southern Division series at Davis & Elkins is also getting a new look, and a new location, thanks to the weather.

The Mountain Lions and Senators were to have played a three-game series Friday and Saturday in Elkins, WV.  That was before the precipitation arrived.

Instead, the two squads will play two games -- a seven-inning doubleheader, tomorrow, Saturday, April 23.  First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 pm.

What's more, the games have been moved to Athens, and will be played at Anderson Field.

Admission is free.
