It's become a familiar storyline for Concord's Softball team, and it's back in the news again.

The weather.

The storm system that moved through West Virginia on Friday and Saturday has forced changes in the Lady Lions' weekend schedule.

Concord's WVIAC doubleheader at Ohio Valley, scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, is postponed because of rain and wet grounds.

Both teams hope to make up the games, but may be running out of time.  WVIAC rules mandate that postponed games be made up in chronological order; according to the scheduled on Ohio Valley's website, the Lady Fighting Scots still need to reschedule a rained-out doubleheader against Fairmont State on April 13.
Concord's regular season ends on April 25, and the WVIAC Tournament is set to begin on April 28.

Meanwhile, Concord is still set to play West Virginia State in a conference doubleheader at the CU softball complex adjacent to Callaghan Stadium in Athens on Sunday, April 17.
The doubleheader, oringially scheduled to start at 2:00 pm, is moved back one hour to 3:00 pm to give the field more time to dry.
Admission is free.
