The two squads combined for 39 runs in splitting the twinbill. Concord won the first game, 14-10, but dropped the second, 9-6.

In the first game, the Lady Lions scored a run in the top of the 1st before erupting for six more in the 3rd. With the bases loaded and nobody out, Stephanie Harper drove in two runs with a single up the middle. Tamara Smith followed with a two-run double.

Emily Gallagher pinch-ran for Smith, and scored on Tiffany Kobordo's RBI double. Kobordo would score later on a wild pitch.

The Senators would come back to take an 8-7 after three innings, but Katelyn Williams tied the score on a solo home run in the top of the 4th.

The Lady Lions pushed across a single run in the 6th and took command of the game with a five-run rally in the 7th. Casey Ord and Kobordo started the inning with back-to-back singles; Ericka Davies doubled to score Ord. Becca Gleason lofted a sacrifice fly to bring in Kobordo.
That was followed by consecutive doubles from Williams, Brooke Bowling and Sheila Davies.

Williams went 3-3 to pace the CU offense. In the circle, Smith went the distance to record the victory.

In the second game, D&E knocked out CU starting pitcher Brooke Bowling in the 4th inning on the way to salvaging the split.

Bowling went 2-4 at the plate, including a three-run home run in the top of the 7th, while Williams drew three walks.

Up next for Concord is a visit to WVIAC power West Virginia Wesleyan for a doubleheader on Sunday, April 10. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 pm in Buckhannon, WV.
