When Concord's Men's Basketball first played Wheeling Jesuit this season, the Cardinals overcame an 18-point 2nd-half deficit in claiming a last-second win at the Carter Center.

The rematch would be far less dramatic.

The Cardinals used a 34-6 run in the 1st half to take command, and went on to defeat CU 96-83 at the McDonough Center in Wheeling, WV.

Concord jumped to a 9-3 lead less than four minutes after tipoff. But then Wheeling Jesuit found its form. The Cardinals took their first lead at 11-9, on Andre Harris' three-pointer with 14:39 left in the 1st half. Their lead stretched to 23-13 on Marquis Moore's shot in the lane less than three minutes later.

WJU would go up by as much as 23 points before Concord pulled with 55-40 at halftime. The Mountain Lions would get within 57-46 early in the 2nd half, but Wheeling Jesuit put together a 23-6 run to lead 80-52 with 9:48 left. Concord would get no closer than the final margin.

Wheeling Jesuit shot .515 from the field (34-66). The Cardinals were .435 (10-23) from three-point range, well above their season average of .327. WJU finished with 22 assists and 15 turnovers.

Concord shot an even .500 (14-28) in the 1st half, but cooled to .341 (15-44) after halftime. CU finished the night at .424 (14-33) from beyond the arc.

Corey Neeley followed his career-high 21 points at West Liberty Saturday with 20 points on MOnday.  Javaughn Acree-Manuel also droped in 20 for CU.  Rick Alderman complemented those two with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Wheeling Jesuit got double-doubles from two players – Steve Catich (25 points, 11 rebounds) and Ben Siefert (17 points, 11 assists).
