Concord's young Volleyball rediscovered the difficulty of playing on the road in the WVIAC, being swept 3-0 at the University of Charleston on Wednesday night.

The host Golden Eagles took early leads in each of three sets and held off CU from there.

Sophomore Jasmin Sutherland topped Concord with seven kills, while fellow soph Becca Lovejoy added five.  Freshman Nikki McMillan paced the Lady Lions with 15 digs and 11 assists.

Lora Goss led Charleston with 12 kills.  Katie Williams had 25 assists and Ashley Douglas 15 digs.

Up next for Concord is a home match against WVIAC rival West Virginia Wesleyan on Monday, October 10.  Match time is 7:00 pm at the Carter Center and admission is free.
