It lasted only seven minutes.  But it dictated the outcome of the entire 90.
Concord's Men's Soccer team saw the University of Charleston explode for four goals in seven first-half minutes as they downed the Mountain Lions, 6-2, in a WVIAC match Wednesday afternoon in Charleston, WV.

The defending WVIAC champions' rally started with Harry Machacha's unassisted goal in the 14th minute.  Garrett Listo's header in the 15th minute made the score 2-0.  Dion Peters scored in the 16th minute, and Michael Osuji capped the run with a goal in the 21st minute.

Concord got on the board on Ivan Deyanov's penalty kick shortly before the halftime horn.  But Rob Vincent scored on a PK of his own in the 58th minute to restore UC's four-goal advantage.

Dion Peters scored for Charleston in the 63rd minute.

The Mountain Lions closed the scoring when Frazer McKinlay set up Garith Duncan for a shot that found the right side of the net in the 86th minute.

Up next for CU is a return to Anderson Field for a WVIAC match against Wheeling Jesuit.  Kickoff is scheduled at 2:00 pm, and admission is free.

Saturday's match is part of a doubleheader with the women's game, which kicks off at Noon.
