A day after hitting a combined .359 in two wins in a non-conference tri-match at the Carter Center, the Concord Volleyball team cooled off, and the result was 3-0 loss to Alderson-Broaddus in a WVIAC match Wednesday night.

The Lady Lions hit .077 in falling 25-18, 25-19, 25-18 to the Lady Battlers in Philippi, WV.

Two freshmen paced the Concord attack.  Brytni Willis (right) floored seven kills, while Sarah Jones hit .357 in adding six kills.  Willis also posted a match-high 11 digs.  Senior co-captain Helen Theisen distributed 15 assists.

Ashley MacDonald and Katie Bedel combined for 17 kills to lead A-B.  Kayla Peterson had 27 assists.



Up next for Concord is a visit to Bluefield College for a non-conference match this coming Saturday, October 22.  Match time is scheduled for 2:30 pm in Bluefield, VA.
