WOMEN'S SOCCER: STREAK SNAPPED

FIVE-GAME RUN ENDS WITH LOSS AT D&E

The Concord Women's Soccer team's five-match winning streak came to an end with a 2-0 loss at Davis & Elkins Saturday afternoon.

Sarah Fyock scored both goals for the Senators.  The first was unassisted in the 8th minute; Emma Davis assisted Fyock for the second goal, in the 40th minute.

The Lady Lions were outshot 19-6 and 9-4 in shots on goal.  Senior goalkeeper Kacey Hildebrand posted seven saves for CU.
Alyssa Hessian put two shots on goal in the 2nd half, only to be denied by D&E keeper Ashley Winkelspecht.

The defeat drops Concord to 6-7, 4-4 in the WVIAC.



Up next for CU is a return to Anderson Field for it final WVIAC match of the regular season.  The Lady Lions host Ohio Valley on Wednesday, October 19 at 2:00 pm.  Admission is free.
