Sometimes you get the bounces, sometimes the bounces go against you.

Two bad bounces thwarted the Concord's Men's Soccer team's bid to draw even late in their WVIAC match at Davis & Elkins Saturday afternoon, and CU suffered a 1-0 defeat.

With the Senators clinging to a 1-0 lead in the 84th minute, CU's All-WVIAC midfielder Ivan Deyanov put back-to-back shots off the post.  It would prove to be Concord's last best chance to get the equalizer.

Branko Dugalic scored the game's only goal, an unassisted tally in the 42nd minute.

Up next for CU is its final WVIAC home match of the season.  The Mountain Lions host Ohio Valley on Wednesday, October 19 at Anderson Field.  Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 pm and admission is free.
