Kevin Doyle's unassisted goal in the 13th minute stood up, as Shepherd handed the Concord Men's Soccer team a 1-0 setback in a WVIAC match Saturday morning at Anderson Field.

The goal was the precursor for a match in which the visiting Rams outshot the Mountain Lions 19-6, 13-3 in the second half.  The Rams enjoyed an 8-1 advantage in shots on goal.

Saturday's defeat drops Concord to 0-5-2 overall, 0-3-2 in the conference.

The Mountain Lions visit Alderson-Broaddus for another league match on Wednesday, September 29. Kickoff is set for 5:00 pm in Philippi, WV.
