CU BOWS TO CHARLESTON

LADY LIONS SWEPT IN CAPITAL CITY

The Concord Volleyball team's offense again sputtered in a three-set loss at the University of Charleston on Wednesday, September 22.

The Lady Lions hit .043 while the Golden Eagles hit .248 in UC's 25-9, 25-16, 25-18 win at Eddie King Gymnasium in Charleston, WV.

The Golden Eagles converted .417 of their attacks in winning the first set.

Amber Miller topped Concord with four kills. Rebecca Lovejoy added three.

UC got double-digit kills from two players – Chantal Hebron (11) and Emmalee Luther (10). The duo combined to hit .400. Katie Williams added 28 assists and Ashley Douglas 12 digs.

The Lady Lions (2-11, 0-3 WVIAC) seek to snap their eight-match skid with a visit to Ohio Valley for a WVIAC meeting on Saturday, September 25. Match time is 11:00 am in Vienna, WV.
