Concord's Baseball team remains #3 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's NCAA Division II Atlantic Region poll, and remains on the threshold of the NCBWA's National Top 25.
Concord received 23 voter points in this week's balloting, placing them 27th in the rankings. That's four spots up from last week.
Concord is the only WVIAC team in the poll.
Meanwhile, the Mountain Lions fell one spot to wind up just outside of the American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's National Top 30.
Concord received 28 voter points to tie with UT Permian Basin (TX) for 31st place.
West Virginia State is the only other WVIAC team in the ABCA poll. The Yellow Jackets received one point, putting them in a 17-way tie for 40th place in the rankings.
Concord and WVSU will meet for an important WVAIC Southern Division series this weekend. The two squads will play doubleheaders at 1:00 pm EST Saturday and Sunday, April 10th and 11th, in Institute, WV.
Before that, Concord will visit West Virginia Wesleyan for a 1:00 pm doubleheader on Thursday, April 8th.
