MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: THIRD IN THE LEAGUE

PETERS PACES CONCORD AT WVIAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Placing each of its top five runners on the all-conference team, the Concord Men's Cross Country squad finished 3rd in the WVIAC Championship meet on Saturday, November 6 in Glenville, WV.

Robby Peters (left) crossed the line in 6th place to post CU's top individual showing. The junior from Dawson, WV covered the Cedar Creek State Park's 8K course in 26:51.

The rest of CU's top five finished close together. Sterling Snyder was 13th in 27:25, with Craig Pritt coming in 16th at 27:42. Four seconds after him was Nick Rees, in 17th place. Three seconds later came Brad Ferguson, who was 18th at 27:49.
Nick Lucento just missed the top 20. His time of 28:05 was good for 22nd place. Brent Roark ran a 28:45 to finish 33rd.

Peters secured a berth in the All-WVIAC 1st Team. Snyder, Pritt, Rees and Ferguson earned spots on the 2nd Team.

Concord's 70 team points were 12 fewer than 4th place Seton Hill, but 34 off the standard set by meet winner Wheeling Jesuit and 11 back of runner-up West Virginia Wesleyan.
