Tornadoes are known as destructive forces of nature.

Tom Winspear was just that to the Concord Men's Soccer team.

Winspear scored four goals to help the King College (TN) Tornado storm past the Mountain Lions, 6-1, in a non-conference match on Wednesday, October 13 in Bristol, TN.

Winspear struck early, getting his first goal just :24 into the match. He'd score again the 40th, 67th and 87th minutes.
Sam Nicol followed Winspear's opening goal with one of his own in the 10th minute, putting King ahead 2-0.

Ivan Deyanov would pull CU within 2-1 with a goal in the 38th minute, assisted by Richard Vincent. But Winspear got his second goal just 1:54 later to put the Tornado up 3-1 at halftime.

Between Winspear's two second-half goals, Erik Douglas scored directly off a corner kick in the 84th minute. Freshman Devin Pierson was pressed into service as CU's goalkeeper and was making his first collegiate start.

King outshot Concord 29-6 and held a 10-3 margin in corner kicks.

Wednesday was Winspear's second four-goal effort of the season. He's scored ten goals this season, all in the last six matches.
