ONE-FOR-TWO TUESDAY

LADY LIONS SPLIT ON "DIG PINK DAY"

Playing a rare Tuesday afternoon/evening doubleheader, the Concord Volleyball team split a pair of non-conference matches during a triangular meet on “Dig Pink Day” at the Carter Center.

The Lady Lions were swept by King College (TN) in a 2:00 pm match, then rebounded to defeat Southern Virginia University in four sets in the nightcap.
King defeated SVU 25-16, 25-22, 25-15 in the triangular's middle match.

“Dig Pink Day” was aimed at raising awareness of and money for the fight against breast cancer. Concord players wore pink warm-up t-shirts; CU coaches staffers distributed commemorative pink ribbons and donations were accepted at the door.
