Athens, WV- Concord welcomed in Ohio Valley for a double header on Tuesday, April 22nd. The Lady Lions along with Athletic Director Greg Quick spent much of their warm up time before the game preparing the field as the field tarp had leaked onto the dirt. Despite all of the adversity Concord still fought hard against the sound Ohio Valley Scots.
Concord proved that they could play with the Scots early as after two innings Ohio Valley only led by a run at 2-1. However, the Scots opened up the game a bit and led 10-2 after 5 inninigs as the game was called.
Concord fought hard in game two but the Lady Scots were just too much as they defeated the Mountain LIons 13-6.
Concord (2-29, WVIAC 0-20) will be celebrating senior day this weekend as they take on the Alderson-Broaddus this Saturday, April 26th. The game is scheduled for a double header and the festivites begin at 1:00pm.
