Mountain Lions Moves to 3-0 on Spring Break Trip

Drew Bailey scores the win for Concord over Kutztown
Savannah, GA- Concord played their first non-conference team today on their spring break trip in the Kutztown University (PA) Golden Bears. The game ended in 9 innings, proving to be Concord's shortest game of the break. Concord downed Kutztown 8-5 after being down 5-0 in 6th inning.

Concord, seemed to be reeling from back to back extra innings wins, began the game flat against the Golden Bears. KU took an early 5-0 lead after six innings. Kutztown scored 2 runs in the first and 1 run in each the third, fourth and sixth innings. Seemly, the Golden Bears were draining Concord.

In the bottom of the 6th inning, as we have seen in a couple of the Mountain Lions games earlier in the season, the light bulb came on. Concord scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to quickly cut the lead to 5-4. After a scoreless 7th the Mountain Lions began to roar again in the 8th.

Donovan Huffer tied the game after and RBI single. Then Matt Kuntz put the Mountain Lions ahead for good with a 2 RBI single. Drew Bailey picked up the win for Concord.

This win gives Concord a terrific start to their break week as they are now 3-0 in three days of action. Concord is currently riding an eight game winning streak.

Concord (9-2) will take on California PA at 10:00am tomorrow. Stayed here are up to date information about the Mountain Lions Spring Break Trip.
