Jamie Cluesman nearly clutched a triple double with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 11 assists against the Lady Cats.
Johnstown, PA- Concord wrapped up their four day road trip with a match-up against the Lady Cats of Pitt-Johnstown. After such a tough contest against the Lady Rams, Concord made light work of the Lady Cats. Concord controlled the game and won the contest 69-57.
Pitt-Johnstown jumped out to an early 6-4 lead. However, the Lady Lions went on a crucial 18-2 run and Pitt-Johnstown would never regain the lead in the game again.
The Lady Lions shot 49 percent from the floor in the first half and held the Lady Cats to only 8 field goals. Concord dominated the first half as they took a 33-19 lead into halftime.
The Lady Lions pushed their led to as many as 26 points in the second half as their offense began to roll. Concord ended the night shooting exactly 50 percent from the floor. Concord ended their northern road trip going 2-0 as they defeated the Pitt-Johnstown Lady Cats today 69-57.
Concord did an excellent job spreading out the scoring against the Lady Cats. Samm Nester led the team with 18 points. Sierra Brown came off the bench to add 10 points and 6 rebounds. Jamie Cluesman nearly had a triple-double with 8 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds. Becca Flanagan and Amber Showalter both ended the game with 9 points.
Concord (12-4, WVIAC 8-2) will host Wheeling Jesuit on Thursday, January 31st at 5:30pm.
