Concord Closes Out Tournament with Win Over North Carolina Central

Dannie Parker led Concord with 17 points and 6 rebounds
Durham, NC- Concord closed out the North Carolina Central Tournament by defeating the home standing team. The game turned out to be a very close as Concord was down 4 points at the half. Concord battled to come back and defeat NC Central 71-68.

The Mountain Lions' first half was very productive as they shot 43% from the field as the scored 32 points. Concord capitalized off NC Central mistakes mainly at the foul line as they only shot 6-14 at the foul stripe in the first half. Despite the mistakes NC Central took a halftime lead over the Mountain Lions 36-32.

Concord once again had an amazing second half as they shot a red hot 67% from the floor and 60% from the arc to beat NC Central on their home court in their holiday tournament. The hot shooting Mountain Lions did just enough for come back with as they won 71-68.

Dannie Parker led Concord in scoring with 17 points while having 6 rebounds. Matt Parker came off the bench to get 12 points and Cordell Boyd added 10 points of his own.

Concord (5-3) will be at home this Saturday, January 5th against WV State at 7:30pm.
