Charleston, WV- The Lady Lion Volleyball team went on the short trip up the road to face one of the most skilled team's in the WVIAC at the University of Charleston. The Golden Eagles flew past Concord defeating them 3-0, with game scores of 30-9, 30-19, and 30-21.
Concord had four girls tied with four kills against the Golden Eagles. Lindsey Shepherd, Kayla Martin, Emily Wilson, and Amber Miller contributed the kills. Kelly Newberry led the team in digs with 8, while Tomi Dement and Megan Epperley both had 7 assists.
Concord (3-14, WVIAC 2-6) will be at home October 8th, as they welcome in cross town rival Bluefield College. Match time is set for 6:00pm.
