Athens, WV- On a very wet day Concord celebrated senior day for thier six seniors as they played host to the Ohio Valley Scots. Concord beat the Lady Scots 4-0.
For Megan Davies, Jenna Schleucher, Jenny Cleland, Allison Walls, Jessica Miracle, and Laura Ciccone the win against Ohio Valley is bitter sweet. The win closes out their regular season of their senior but still have a path travel in a quest for a conference title.
Cleland started the scoring early in the game. In the 4th minute a touch pass from Alysaa Dagg to Laura Ciccone set up Cleland for the goal. About 20 minutes later Leslie Kirk found the next and only a minute later Katie Cuviello was assisted by Cleland for the final goal of the first half.
In the second half each senior was subbed for individually for special reconigtion. Alyssa Dagg scored the final goal in the 78th minute and the assist went to Lindsey DeVaughn.
Concord now enters the WVIAC tournament with a brand new record of 0-0. Concord will play host to the University of Pitt-Johnstown Lady Cats. The game is scheduled for 3:00pm on Tuesday, October 30th. Come out and support CU Lady Lion's soccer in the first round of the WVIAC tournament.
