Pioneers Defeat Concord Football

Glenville, WV- Concord traveled to Glenville State College for a showdown with the Pioneers. Glenville, known for their high powered offense, defeated Concord 34-14.

Glenville scored on their first four possessions with two field goals and two touchdowns, taking a quick lead on the Mountain Lions. Concord's offense managed to put two touchdowns on the scoreboard.

Tommy Frazier would cap the first touchdown drive with an 8 yard run. On the second touchdown drive Orlando Bryant found the end zone off a 10 yard run. The Mountain Lions were down 20-14 late in the second quarter. 

After a punt return touchdown, the Pioneers led at halftime 27-14 over the Mountain Lions. Glenville would open the second half with the ball but would have to punt the ball back to the Mountain Lions.

After a Concord punt. the Pioneers would tack on another touchdown. The score was pushed to 34-14 in favor of Glenville State.

Concord (0-8, WVIAC 0-6) will be at home next weekend on Saturday, October 27th to take on Seton Hill. Kickoff is set for 1pm.
