Adam Blake assumed the role of Concord men's basketball coach in the summer of 2016 and will start his third season on Todd May's staff in the fall of 2018
Prior to coming to Concord, Blake was an assistant at Randolph-Macon, a Division III school near Richmond, Virginia.
“I’m excited to welcome Adam to the Concord University basketball family,” May said. “He has a lot energy and is very passionate about the game. I’m looking forward to watching his enthusiasm being translated to the program. He’s a great fit for us.”
In his two seasons at Concord, Blake has helped tutor two All-Mountain East Conference selections in Tommy Bolte and Aaron Miller.
During Blake's second season at CU, Bolte was selected a First Team All-American and was a consensus all-region selection.
Additionally, the Mountain Lions advanced to the MEC Semifinals for the second time in three seasons with Blake playing a vital role in the team's 17 wins after winning 11 games during the 2016-17 season.
Originally from Kingston, Ohio, Blake played collegiately at Capital University, a Division III school in Columbus, Ohio, where he was a point guard for the Crusaders. As a sophomore, Blake was on a Capital team that went 19-7 overall and 16-2 overall as it won the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season title. In total, the Crusaders won two regular season conference titles and one tournament championship while Blake was on the roster from 2011-2015.
At Logan Elm High School in Circleville, Ohio, Blake was a standout point guard setting the school record for assists in a single season as well as a career. Blake was apart of 64 wins in high school and was named the 2010 district player of the year.
Blake graduated from Capital with a degree in interdisciplinary studies in education, history and mathematics.
