For the fourth time in his career, Weitzel was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team. Weitzel wrapped up his career at Concord as a Second Team All-American for his performance in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Additionally, the Athens, West Virginia native earned his master's degree with a GPA of 3.54 in health promotion.
