Altizer broke the women's track & field school record in the 10,000-meter run Thursday night at High Point by running a time of 38:4.69. Altizer set the program record that had stood for the last eight years by nearly 30 seconds as she finished fifth in the race. Additionally, her time is the fastest in the MEC this season by nearly two minutes.
