The WVIAC named Weatherholtz its Pitcher of the Week on March 12, after his three-hit shutout of Fairmont State two days earlier.
The sophomore right-hander from Manassas, VA walked two, struck out six and faced just five batters over the minimum in a 5-0 victory in CU’s conference opener, retiring 13 consecutive batters during one stretch.  It was the first shutout of his collegiate career.
