Porterfield was recently highlighted in the Concord Athletics Senior Spotlight. In 2019, Porterfield led the Mountain Lions in tackles with 79 in nine games while also coming up with a forced fumble, fumble recoverty and interception from his middle linebacker spot. The Raleigh, North Carolina native was an All-MEC Honorable Mention selection at the end of the season.
