Akin threw for a career-best 284 yards while leading Concord in rushing with 66 yards on the ground in the game against West Virginia State. Akin eclipsed his previously career high by 25 yards as he completed 23 passes to six different receivers. In the rushing game, the Jackson, Tennessee native carried the ball 12 times for 66 yards.
