Laxton was named the Mountain East Conference Men's Golfer of the Week after finishing in a tie for fifth at the Glade Spring Intercollegiate. Laxton shot a 54-hole total of 223 with rounds of 77, 74 and 72. His final round of 72 vaulted Laxton from 20th to fifth on the overall leaderboard.
